United by Service. Inspired by Care.
It’s more than a slogan—it reflects the true spirit of what it means to be a Shriner. In our fraternity, we stand shoulder to shoulder as brothers, united by a shared commitment to uplift our communities and support one another. Our service is not an obligation; it is a calling rooted in compassion, generosity, and integrity.`
And from that service comes inspiration—drawn from the courage of the children we support, the families we touch, and the hope we help restore through Shriners Children’s. Together, we embody a bond strengthened by purpose, guided by heart, and dedicated to making a meaningful difference.

This evening at our Capital Shrine Club meeting, we had the privilege of recognizing an incredible milestone of an extraordinary individual - Len Potechin's 100th birthday.
I was honoured to share a summary of Len's history, accomplishments, and lasting legacy. Reflecting on a century of service, friendship, integrity, and dedication, it is clear that his life exemplifies the very qualities embodied in the Ideal of a Freemason. He did the good act, not for himself but for the cause of good.
Len's commitment to family, community, Freemasonry, and Shrine has left an enduring impact on countless lives. His example reminds us that true greatness is measured not only by years lived, but by the positive influence we have on others throughout those years. He is an example for all of us to emulate.

What a weekend! Starting Friday with a well attended parade in Manotick, followed Saturday with a moving Legion of Honour wreath laying ceremony at the National War Memorial / Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. We were honoured to have in attendance the Imperial Potentate Brad Koehn, International Commander of the IALOH Geoffrey Lyster (along with the 4th & 5th Lt. Cmdrs), and Carlota, International Patient Ambassador (and her mom and brother), along with a number of visiting Potentates and temple reps and ladies. The day ended with an excellent banquet at the NDHQ Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess and an inspiring message from Carlota. We are also proud that Noble Daniel Charron received the IALOH Distinguished Service Award. ... See MoreSee Less

What a great last day to the SCSA Ceremonial. It started with the clown competition and parade where we were impressed with the creativity and humour of the Nobles and ladies. We then went to Duck Commander for a tour and found out that one of the children was actually treated at the Shriners Hospital in Shreveport! The grand finale was the Potentate's Ball where we ate and danced to the live band. A surprise during the awards ceremony was yours truly getting 3rd place in the clay/skeet shooting competition. Who knew!? It was also a pleasure to meet the Deputy GM, R.W. Bro. Keith Gates and Lady Amber. It shows the strength of the relationship between the GL of Louisiana and Shrinedom. Congratulations and thanks go to Ill. Sirs Scotty and David, Nobles Ronnie and Tyler and their ladies and team for the warm hospitality. Meeting new friends is a cornerstone of our fraternity! We look forward to coming back.
